Get ready for your winter sports holiday with our optional extra

Whether you’ll be doing some high-impact snowboarding in Switzerland, enjoying a chalet retreat with your other half in the French Alps, or heading for a husky-sledging adventure with the family in Lapland, get your winter sports holiday covered with one of our top-rated insurance policies.

You may be asking yourself: what’s the worst that could happen? The truth is, even the most seasoned winter sports person may find themselves in deep water (OK, deep snow) on the slopes. Even if you’re more likely to be found relaxing in your chalet lodge than skiing, you can properly enjoy your time away with the knowledge that you are covered.

What’s covered with our optional winter sports cover?

We try to consider all scenarios, so if there’s a piste closure or a delay as a result of an avalanche, our policies are designed to help. Cover is available with our Winter Sports add-on. and depending on which plan you go with, cover is available up to £1,000 (on the Extra Plan) or £750 (on the Standard Plan) if your ski equipment is lost or stolen.

Our winter sports optional extra is only available for purchase under our Standard Plan or Extra Plan. With either plan you get 24/7 access to our team of emergency assistance professionals. They can help with unexpected overseas medical expenses. What’s more, you’re protected with our money-back guarantee during the 14-day cooling-off period.

For more information about what’s included in each of our policies, have a look at our travel insurance guide.

Please note: your winter sports travel insurance will not cover you if participate in any activity in a professional capacity.
