Travel Insurance Cancellation Cover

Comprehensive insurance to cover you in case of cancellation

Been planning your dream holiday for a while now, huh? Everything booked and paid for, bags packed, brimming with excitement? We understand; it’s all so thrilling! But before you hop on a plane and get ready to explore the world, it’s important you ask yourself, ‘Do I have the right travel insurance?’

It can be hard thinking about worst-case scenarios at the best of times, but it’s even harder in the run-up to a trip you’ve been looking forward to for so long. Still, you should aim to protect yourself from eventualities outside your control, namely the prospect of cancellation.

Sometimes things happen we just can’t see coming, like unexpected weather changes or (at the very extreme realms of possibility) upheavals in our personal lives, that put our plans on hold. So, does that then mean we should just cut our losses and forget about it? Absolutely not! Cover-More UK provides travellers with high-quality insurance cover and round-the-clock customer service, which also applies to cancellations.

What levels of cancellation cover are there?

When it comes to cancellation cover for your holiday, we’re able to provide generous benefits, which can also include amendment or abandonment costs incurred during your trip.

From our budget-friendly Economy Plan to our most comprehensive Gold and Diamond policies, you can relax knowing that you have cancellation cover in place. Our plans also feature a variety of other benefits, such as overseas medical and dental, 24/7 emergency assistance and contributive cover for any severe disruptions to your trip.

Cooling-off period

Our 14-day cooling off period comes as standard with each of our policies if you wish to cancel. You’ll receive a full refund, providing:

  • You aren’t already making a claim under your policy
  • You aren’t cancelling after your trip has begun
  • You cancel your policy within 14 working days from the time of issue

Scheduled port cancellation

Available when you take out either our Gold or Diamond plans, this is a useful perk to have if you’re going on a cruise or a holiday which includes many water-based excursions. If a scheduled port visit is cancelled because your ship is unable to dock (due, for instance, to poor weather conditions) and you aren’t provided with any form of compensation, such as onboard credit or an alternative port, we’ll pay out a reasonable amount, the maximum of which you can find in our travel insurance guide.

Sounds great! Where can I get a free quote?

To get your free online travel insurance quote, head to our homepage and let us know:

  • Where you’re travelling
  • When you’re travelling
  • Who’s going with you

You’ll then receive a full breakdown of each of our policies, including costs – yes, it really is that easy!

You can also cancel your policy directly by calling us on 01245 272408, whereupon we may be able to offer you an alternative policy (if this is of interest to you).
